Matti
Norlin has distinguished himself as one of Sweden's best interpretionists
of early delta-blues by
his touring and by his three solo-albums;
Pre War Blues (1995) , Kitchen Sink Blues (1998)
and Slidin´Out (2002).
When he´s performing as a solo-blues artist he mostly plays his own originals.
But every now and then he´s throwing in some old masterpiece by; Robert
Johnson, Blind Blake, Charlie Patton etc., etc..
Listen to Mattis original tunes, and I´m sure you can feel the heavy force
of early delta-blues getting mixed with music like for instance; Jimi Hendrix
or AC-DC.
But
Matti is more than just another bluesman. Ever since he started playing he has
been a part of different projects (and styles) playing electric or acoustic
guitar.
Lately he´s mostly been playing the Swedish national-instrument Nyckelharpa
on which he´s already composed over 120 tunes in the last two years.
Part from playing solo Matti is also playing in the high energy punkblues-band badge ,and the Swedish Folk Ensemble SKRÖMTA (where he plays the Nyckelharpa).
